CHURCH HISTORY
Sweet Honey In The Rock Restoration Church came into existence through a divine miracle of God in 1997. Founders for this divine manifestation are Apostle Will A. and Co-Pastor Renee A. Meeks. Because of their attentiveness and obedience to God’s voice to organize this congregation for God’s purpose, a weekly Bible Study induced the vision to establish a church. Sweet Honey In The Rock Restoratation Church has a rich history. To God Be the Glory!!
Apostle Meeks and Co-Pastor Meeks are organizers and dynamic leaders in the Atlanta metropolitan area. Because of the Favor of God on our Vision, Apostle Meeks and Co-Pastor Meeks, with the motivation of Mother Eloise Ponder and other contributors, were able to purchase a building at 678 McDaniel Street, SW, Atlanta, GA 30310. Thus, becoming the home of Sweet Honey in the Rock Restoration Church. The building was small but adequate in housing the membership. As the community grew, the membership of the church grew. In 2002, additions to the church were added to accommodate the growing membership.
Sweet Honey in the Rock Restoration Church exists to establish a part of the Body of Christ as Bible believers in the inner-city of Atlanta with signs, wonders and miracles to perfect the saints to do the work of ministry and to edify the Body of Christ. This ministry is to prepare you for service to become one with God; to build the Kingdom of God. Within our family, we endeavor to sanctify you wholly with solid Biblical teachings that give spiritual, physical and financial stability in relationship with the world in which we live and with the Lord Jesus Christ.
We will continue to grow and serve the Atlanta metropolitan community, for we are Sweet Honey In The Rock Restoration Church…a testimony in Action!
